i moved to new york from california, ages ago, and i've lived downtown ever since. i worked as an actor, singer and dancer for a few years, directed and staged some performance pieces, and produced and directed a feature documentary film about witches in new york. in order to make enough money to shoot my film on the weekends, i started making jewelry. that took off so quickly that i never totally completed my film. (hmmm . . . that reminds me . . . !) as far as my jewelry goes, i've been really blessed as it's been in some amazing stores, like bloomingdale's, calypso, kate spade, ABC home . . . i have lots of great private clients, and several television shows currently feature my jewelry ("30 Rock" and "Law and Order").
on other fronts, i have a few top secret projects brewing that have nothing whatsoever to do with jewelry! i'll keep you posted.
i do think that for me one of the most important things in life is friends, and i was lucky to have a few of mine help me with my website. my friend, carolyn monastra, shot the fabulous photos for this site, and my beautiful friends cecile, tanya, danette and cheryl, were my models. we did it all in an afternoon. i designed most of it, with help from dana carlson (a wonderful painter), who brilliantly built it. she is one of those artists who is also very technically-minded (unlike me).
